Whole House Water Filter Installation in Mount Prospect, IL

Whole House Water Filter Installation in Mount Prospect, IL

A whole house water filter sits on the main line right after the shutoff, so every fixture in the home gets treated water. Mount Prospect, IL Whole House Water Filtration installs these systems in Mount Prospect, IL homes with a full three-valve bypass, so you can keep water running while the unit is serviced.

The job usually takes part of a day. We shut off the main, cut in the bypass loop, mount the sediment housing and the carbon tank or cartridge bank, then add pressure gauges on the inlet and outlet. Those two gauges matter. When the needle gap passes about 10 to 15 PSI, the media is loading up and you know it is time for service, without guessing.

We also check grounding. Many older homes use the metal water pipe as part of the electrical ground, and cutting in plastic housings can break that path. A jumper cable across the filter fixes it.

What you get with whole house water filtration from us:

• Sediment pre-filter plus a main carbon or specialty stage
• Shutoff valves on both sides and a bypass
• Flushed media and a leak-checked install
